Ghosts, Grandparents Mingle in Brownwood

Sleepy Holloween Town welcomed SpongeBob Square Pants, Bob the Builder, Indiana Jones and thousands of other costumed revelers Friday evening. The fifth annual Sleepy Holloween Town celebration at Brownwood Paddock Square brought generations together for an afternoon of music, dancing, candy, games and frights. Jim and Josie Hanna, of the Village of Collier, made a return visit to Sleepy Holloween Town to hand out candy because they love seeing the children. Makenzie Rees, 8, put her afternoon in perspective as she shared her thoughts about Sleepy Holloween Town. “This year, I think we’ll have between 25,000 to 30,000 visitors enjoy the event,” Skertich-Lester said.
