Citrus farmers in Ghana's AAK district, in the central region are excited at the news of seeing a new citrus processing plant that will be built to take their produce and help to make profits. This come after the Central Citrus Processing Limited (CCPL) through the new project will process over 15 tons of oranges into fruit juice per hour. The citrus farmers who are 75 of age, started to give up hope on the industry because the youth were not interested in the industry. The plant to be commissioned in a couple of months will process fruit from 6 000 acres per year. The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) partnered with the OVCF to revamp the citrus industry since last year.
