According to him, following the successes that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration has achieved in the three years spent in government, the Ghanaian populace will, in turn, accept President Akufo-Addo overwhelmingly after the polls. On the back of this, the main opposition party NDC rubbished these predictions made by the EIU, describing it as inaccurate. In a campaign message shared on is Facebook page, John Mahama said he is ready to work with the party’s supporters to ensure that the party wins the 2020 polls. President Akufo-Addo has however not announced his intention officially to contest as the flagbearer of the NPP ahead of next year’s polls.
