Sports News of Wednesday, 7 January 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Ministry of Sports and Recreation, in conjunction with the Ghana Athletics and the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ahead of the 2026 African Athletics Championships, set to take place in Ghana. “We are here to sign the MoU for the Senior African Athletics Championships. Meanwhile, Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini reiterated the country’s determination to host the championship with minimal challenges and to compete for laurels. Following the speeches, the sports minister and the CAA president signed the MoU to officially kick-start preparations for the event. The 2026 African Athletics Championships are scheduled to be held in Ghana in May 2026.
