In his view, the NDC is simply being mischievous knowing very well that the agreement which was ratified by the Parliament of Ghana on March 23, 2018, has not breached any existing agreement between the two countries and the laws of the West African nation. Interacting with Accra-based TV 3, Saturday, Mr. Mercer said he was very much assured by the President of the land that the Americans were not going to establish a military base in Ghana, re-echoing the sentiments of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that the NDC is manipulating Ghanaians. “The NDC is manipulating Ghanaians. To create military base in Ghana is where the mischief lies since the Americans have been here [Ghana] since 1998”, he noted.
