The Ghana AIDS Commission has raised alarm over the lack of resources in the National AIDS Fund, leaving the country dependent on the Global Fund to sustain treatment and care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. "As we speak, the National AIDS Fund is empty, and all our efforts are currently supported by the Global Fund. He urged the government to prioritise investment in the National AIDS Fund to ensure continuous support for victims and prevent disruptions to ongoing programmes. The campaign, organised by the Ghana AIDS Commission in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service and political parties, highlighted the alarming rates of infection and mortality in the country. Dr. Kyeremeng Atuahene, Director of the Ghana AIDS Commission, reinforced the need for public awareness and education while warning against stigmatisation.
