KUALA LUMPUR: The public can expect more roadblocks and speed traps along the highways soon as the festive season draws closer. SPAD, in a statement today, said there will be an increase in the number of patrols, road blocks and other enforcement activities. "The activities will see drivers and vehicle operators checked, vehicle GPS records audited, implementation of speed traps and greater patrols at high-risk areas," said the commission. The commission said it recently met with bus operators to remind them to abide by the traffic rules and prioritise passenger safety. Members of the public are advised to report any mishap or wrongdoing by bus operators to SPAD through its 24-hour hotline number 1800-88-7723 or email aduan@spad.gov.my.
