CAIRO-6 November 2020: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, scored a goal in his team’s 5-0 victory over Italian side, Atalanta in the third round of the UEFA Champions League competition. This goal allowed Salah to share the record of Liverpool’s top scorer in the UEFA Champions League with the club legend, Steven Gerrad. “I was very proud last night to see Mo Salah equal my scoring record for Liverpool in Europe, it was only a matter of time. Salah scored 21 goals in 36 appearances while Gerrad reached the same number of goals in 73 appearances with the Reds. Liverpool former captain added “I honestly think he’ll go on and embarrass my record — and I hope that he does.
