ADADThe best that can be said about the present coalition is that it survived the refugee crisis of 2015-16 and restored order subsequently. So either Merkel or a successor would have a good chance of staying in power as a minority government. ADADIf a minority government fails, Germany’s president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, would call new elections.
