A 76-year-old German national accused of illegal possession of a firearm in Kwale has been jailed for 42 days without an option of a fine for a separate charge of resisting arrest and fingerprinting. The accused went berserk paralysing court activities leading to his arrest. Lambertus was slapped with the fresh charges and pleaded guilty but denied one in which he is accused of insulting a State Counsel by labelling her a prostitute. The prosecutor was leading proceedings in the firearm case when Lambertus suddenly started shouting and insulting her in the presence of Senior Resident Magistrate Patrick Wambugu. The foreigner is charged that on February 7, 2016, at Mangro Park 3 Neptune at Diani Beach area was found in illegal possession of a pistol without a firearm certificate.
