German demobilisation - News Summed Up

German demobilisation

The military, naval, and aerial terms, as finally adopted, provide that within two months of signature the German military forces shall be demobilised to the extent prescribed. The total effectives must never exceed 100,000, including 4000 officers and the troops in the depots. This army must be exclusively devoted to the maintenance of order within Germany and the control of her frontiers. Officers and persons in the position of officers in the War Department and Ministers are not to exceed 300 in number, and the civilian army administration personnel is not to exceed one-tenth of that prescribed in the 1913 German Budget. Munitions must be stored at points notified to the Allies, and the German Government is forbidden to establish any other stocks, depots, or reserves of ammunition.
