German businessmen encouraged to invest in Pakistan
Envoy proposes creation of Pak-German chamber of commerceISLAMABAD: Germany is Pakistan’s biggest trading partner in the European Union (EU) with trade balance in favour of Pakistan, said German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler. He was speaking at an event on ‘Doing Business in Pakistan’, organised by the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) in Dubai. Kobler appreciated the steps taken by the new government in Pakistan for restoring the confidence of businessmen. Singapore delegation visits Pakistan to look for investment avenuesSpeaking on the occasion, Board of Investment Chairman Haroon Sharif appreciated the efforts of AHK and German businessmen for promoting business and investment in Pakistan. He encouraged German companies to invest in Pakistan, especially in alternative energy, agro-based food processing, hospitality and tourism, and emerging technologies.
