Waked was released on bail of 1,000 Egyptian pounds (£43) and an appeal will be submitted on Tuesday, he added. The actor has denied the charge and maintained he was framed by someone he did not identify, according to the lawyer. Recounting events the day of the alleged crime, he said the car parked outside Waked's rented house arrived with a driver and two passengers.
