Georgian manor house left empty for a generation hits the market for just £40,000

AdvertisementA Welsh country manor house is up for sale for less than the price of a parking space in some parts of London - at just £40,000. The Grade II-listed home in Pencader, Carmarthenshire, comes with four bedrooms, a sweeping driveway and sits in 2.5 acres of land. However buyers hoping to snap up the historic property - Blaenblodau Hall - won't be able to look around because it is too dangerous after being left empty for a generation. The home had a simple late-Georgian staircase, six panelled doors, panelled shutters and moulded cornices in the hall and main rooms. The home with a guide price of £40,000 will go to auction in Llanelli, South Wales, in November.
