“I think it was big for us today to have a close game with a team,” Hoyas center Jessie Govan said. “We had to really come together as a team and try to walk out of here with a win. A layup from Khwan Fore that followed two consecutive Georgetown turnovers put the Spiders within two with less than two minutes to play. “That’s one of the reasons why we got the win,” Ewing said of the balanced offense. “I’m happy we got the win,” Ewing said after the lone road game of his team’s nonconference schedule.
