In a statement, Sonia said: "The family is devastated to announce that this morning George Segal passed away due to complications from bypass surgery." He has also played Albert "Pops" Solomon on The Goldbergs since 2013 and had just finished his eighth season on the show. His performances have also been recognised with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
