Martin, who is ostensibly working on finishing the “Song of Ice and Fire” book series that begat “Game of Thrones,” updated fans Saturday via his personal blog. “We have had five different GAME OF THRONES successor shows in development (I mislike the term ‘spinoffs’) at HBO, and three of them are still moving forward nicely,” Martin wrote. (He went on to voice support for “Veep” and “Gentleman Jack” on HBO along with former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 candidacy.)
