But speaking on the matter, George Afriyie moved quickly to set the record straight. “No doubt, Asante Kotoko is a big club with a rich history but at the moment, I am not in the race to become the new CEO of the club,” he stated. He acknowledged that discussions may have taken place in certain circles but insisted that no formal approach has been made to him. “Perhaps there have been conversations around some quarters, but as it stands, no one has spoken to me to become the Chief Executive Officer of the club.
