Gene Wilder, the original Willy Wonka and star of multiple Mel Brooks comedies, has died at the age of 83, confirms the Associated Press. According to his nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman, reports Variety, he died of complications from Alzheimer’s disease at his home in Stamford, Conn. Wilder was also known for his relationship with third wife, actress and comedian Gilda Radner, with whom he starred in three films. In 1991, Wilder married Karen Webb, a clinical supervisor. Wilder was first married to Mary Mercier but the two divorced in 1965.
