Gedson Fernandes’ agent has held discussions with a number of clubs in England over the past few days as the Benfica midfielder haggles for a January transfer. Manchester United are interested in signing Fernandes and are believed to have been one of the clubs involved in talks. According to Portuguese publication Record, Fernandes’ representatives are still in the UK having landed on Friday. Fernandes has fallen out with Benfica manager Bruno Lage in recent months leading to his omission from the team.
