She went on to sing ‘Kadambaripriyayai’ in Mohanam, by Muthuswamy Dikshitar, in full melody. During the raga alapana in Bhairavi, Gayatri displayed her skill in singing intricate patterns of the raga in all its three sthayis and gave full life to this ancient raga and delighted the listeners in the song ‘Upacharamulanu’ by Tyagaraja, in which the saint requests Lord Rama to accept the offerings that he makes to him. She gave a scintillating swara prastharam in bringing out all the nuances of the raga.
