The new editor of Britain’s oldest gay magazine has been suspended weeks into the job after the discovery of offensive tweets about Jews, lesbians, Asians, women and people with disabilities. Josh Rivers, 31, was appointed by Gay Times last month. As a mixed-race British American, he was hailed as the first ethnic minority editor of a gay men’s magazine in the UK and promised to “create a monthly journal that speaks to the vast and varied lived experiences of our community — in its entirety”.
