Chippa United head coach Gavin Hunt has extended an offer to out-of-favour Mamelodi Sundowns winger Phakamani Mahlambi. Mahlambi has, according to SoccerLaduma, been training in isolation in Durban following the end of a rather unsuccessful loan spell at AmaZulu last season, during which he made just three appearances. The 23-year-old's contract with Sundowns only expires in 2023 but it seems both parties are willing to negotiate an amicable separation. The speedy attacker played his best football under Hunt at the now defunct Bidvest Wits, and even earned himself a big move to African football giants Al Ahly of Egypt back in 2017. Sure [we could sign him], but he will have to take a pay cut and be ready to prove himself again, if he wants to.
