Gauteng police are on the hunt for any leads that may result in the arrest of gunmen involved in the shooting of a scrapyard owner last week. "The police from De Deur received a complaint of a shooting incident at the R 82 and R 557 Walkerville," police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said in a statement. He said that, when police arrived on the scene, the victim had already been hospitalised. "Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was driving a white Toyota Land Cruiser when he was shot at by suspects who were driving in a silver grey Mercedes Benz," Masondo said. When News24 reached the victim's place of work for comment, they said the "current circumstances are too sensitive to comment".
