This was the first time a pink-ball Test was played in India under the lights and feedbacks have been decent thus far. The Duleep trophy was believed to be the way back for some senior cricketers. While Pujara has been a member of the Test squad, Raina and Gambhir are the players who had a lot to play for. He was also rewarded with the captaincy of the India Blue team for this historic Duleep Trophy. With a good IPL and decent Duleep trophy, Gambhir has certainly made his case strong for the third opener's choice.
