Gauhar resigns as PM’s advisor on power, petroleum

ISLAMABAD: Tabish Gauhar stepped down from the post of advisor to the prime minister on power and petroleum divisions, about a year after his appointment, he announced Tuesday. After a year of public service, I’ve decided to call it a day to return to my family. I shall remain indebted to the PM for giving me this opportunity. He is also the founder of Oasis Energy, a management consultancy firm in the power and energy sector that was established in 2016. However, perhaps his most notable role was when he served as the CEO and chairman of K-Electric until 2015.
