SEN. Sherwin Gatchalian on Thursday sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in tracking the person or persons who illegally used his credit card to purchase P1 million worth of food and alcoholic beverages on January 5. Gatchalian, ranked as the ninth richest senator in 2020 with a net worth of P95 million, filed before the NBI an incident report. I just don’t know how he will eat a million peso worth of food,” Gatchalian said. He said after his personal investigation on the matter, he would also call for a Senate inquiry in aid of legislation. Gatchalian has also advised the public to take notifications seriously coming from their banks of any suspicious transactions made on their accounts.
