“The movement of heavy vehicles will remain suspended for three days before and after the Eid. But vehicles carrying perishable goods, garments and medicines will operate as usual,” said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader at a news briefing on Monday. The gas stations will remain operate nonstop for seven days before and three days after the Eid. Usually, gas stations remain closed from 5pm to 9pm every day as part of energy rationing. There is no reason for causing trouble anywhere on the highway as all the roads are in good shape.”The minister urged the Dhaka City Corporation not to allow markets of sacrificial animals on the roads.
