The victim, Niamat Ali, 35, works as a manager at the Hazi Mofizuddin CNG Filling Station in Sreepur Upazila. Around 10am Sunday, Ali was standing outside the station for a ride with Tk 1 million and two pay-orders worth Tk 843,953 in his bag. He was due to deposit the amount to a bank, said Md Tazul Islam, owner of the CNG station. Ali was first admitted to AK Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for better treatment. “A vein on Niamat’s right hand has been severed,” said Dr Md Saiful Islam of AK Memorial Hospital.
