The explosion occurred in the early hours of Monday, 7 May 2018. Residents said the explosion caused intensive vibrations which prevented them from being able to sleep. They have, therefore, called on authorities to shut the Gas station down, as well as others located within the vicinity. Residents who say they don't want a repetition of the horrifying gas explosion at Atomic junction are calling for the closure of the filling station.
