You wouldn’t know it now but Gary Haden used to have a real hate on for his current Saskatoon Blades linemates. Yet, that, he adds, is key to what is now their blossoming chemistry as a red-hot line for the Blades. Now that he has settled in as a member of the Blades after being traded from Medicine Hat in November, Haden is seeing things a lot differently. “We battled in bantam and midget and I hated playing them,” recalled Haden, a native of Aidrie, Alta. He’s come from a strong program in Medicine Hat with a winning tradition, so he’s fit right in.
