Garda file sent to DPP after guns and explosives allegedly found in house in Cork suburb

The Garda investigation file has been sent to the DPP in a case where guns, ammunition, and explosives were allegedly discovered at a house in Douglas last November, it was confirmed on Monday. Sergeant John Kelleher told Cork District Court that the completed Garda file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions on March 26 and that directions were awaited. A peremptory adjournment means the case could be struck out if those directions are not available on the next date. “In the search at his home, a large amount of firearms, ammunition, and explosive substances were found, including three pipe bomb bodies. Det Garda Daly said the case will be dealt with at the Special Criminal Court.
