A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a seizure of drugs at a house in the Bansha area of County Tipperary. On Thursday, January 22, gardai from the Tipperary Divisional Drugs Unit, Crime Task Force and Limerick Dog Unit seized suspected cocaine with an approximate street value of €8,400, a kilo of Benzocaine worth about €2,000, a quantity of cannabis herb and 3,570 Alprazolam tablets worth around €7,140. More than €2,000 in cash was also seized along with electronic items and paraphernalia associated with the sale and supply of controlled substances. Investigations are continuing, added a garda spokesperson on Friday, January 23.
