Gardaí are awaiting autopsy results to determine the direction of their investigation into the death of a woman in Cavan town on Tuesday morning. The woman’s body was found in an apartment on James Connolly St. Gardaí and ambulance crew were called to the property in the early hours of the morning. “The results of the post-mortem will assist gardaí in determining the direction of their investigation,” it said. Gardaí have conducted preliminary inquiries to establish whether anyone lived at the apartment with the woman and have spoken to the person who raised the alarm.
