The county seeks to collect Sh3.5 billion from parking fees, Sh1.2 billion from advertisements and Sh300 million from Eastlands. In April, Nairobi members of the assembly passed the county fiscal strategy paper pushing for increased taxation for Nairobi residents and businesses. "These people have been leaving garbage to scatter all over and when we ask them to do a good job they refuse. Single business permits are expected to rake in Sh3.6 billion and liquor licenses will bring in Sh379 million.
