more-inFollowing a dharna by students of Sanskrit Department alleging sexual harassment against girl students by Head of the Department of Sanskrit, Andhra University, K. Yedukondalu, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao asked Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Nageswara Rao to constitute a committee and initiate an inquiry into the allegations. The students staged a protest in front of the department on Monday and demanded immediate action against the professor. They alleged that Prof Yedukondalu would pass snide remarks against the girls and use provocative gestures while talking to them even in classroom. According to the students he would indulge in double entendre to harass the girl students. Registrar V. Umamaheswara Rao said a committee would be formed after the three-day AP Science Congress that is set to begin from Tuesday.
