Gang steals gun from a traffic policemanA traffic police officer is fighting for his life in a Murang’a hospital after he was injured by thugs who robbed him his firearm.Morris Mwiti was robbed of a loaded pistol by three gang men who attacked him with a spade, they were carrying. The officer was attacked by three men who were walking along the abandoned railway line. The incident occurred at 4.30 pm along Murang’a-Sagana road, at a railway crossing point near Mathioya River. The gang then fled using a motor cycle which was parked in the bushes metres away. Police drawn from several police stations in the county, were deployed to comb the bushes near the scene in search for the gun.
