Gang shooting: Trio in court on raft of charges after Mongrel Mob leader's son shot in North Canterbury incident


Photo / FacebookThree people have been jointly charged in relation to a gang shooting in North Canterbury where the son of a prominent Mongrel Mob member was seriously injured. Fairmont Joseph Wiringi was rushed to Christchurch Hospital after being shot about 3.30am yesterday. Jarrad James Ronald Singer - the second man shot - did not appear in court in person. Judge Noel Walsh was advised that the accused was still being treated at Christchurch Hospital. The shooting comes just days after Christchurch man Kane Wayman - an associate of the Head Hunters gang - was killed.
