Police are investigating an unexplained death in Mt Wellington, Auckland. The 42-year-old Tongan man died in the early hours of Saturday after the fight in the middle of Bernard St in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington. Potiki said the man had left the house early on Saturday morning and was walking back to the house he was staying at when the incident occurred. She said the man was at her house on Friday drinking kava with her husband until midnight.
