A team of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit of Bangladesh has arrested two people including a death row convict in the murder of blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider on Monday. Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Media Wing Masudur Rahman told India Today that Rana and his associate Ashraf were detained around 2 pm today. Blogger and activist of Ganajagaran Mancha Ahmed Rajib Haider was hacked to death near his residence in Dhaka's Mirpur area on February 15, 2013. Haider was killed within 10 days of the Ganajagaran Mancha's movement demanding capital punishment to the war criminals. Earlier, a Dhaka court awarded death sentences to Rana and Faisal Bin Noim Deep for Haider's murder in December 2015.
