At 71, he’s been playing cricket in Victoria for 63 years. “Oh, I have a good life,” he said, thinking about the game he’s scheduled to play this weekend in a league for people over 40. He said the cricket in Victoria likely could not have gone forward had it not been for B.C.’s rules protecting clubs from liability. “There is no money in cricket clubs.”The cricket league on B.C.’s mainland, where coronavirus case counts are higher than on the island, have decided not to play at all in 2020.
