Game of Thrones has already racked up 15 million tweets this year — and it hasn’t even aired yet
Game of Thrones’ eighth and final season hasn’t even aired yet, but it seems like the hit HBO series has already taken Twitter by storm. According to just-released Twitter data, there have been 15 million tweets about ‘Game of Thrones’ so far in 2019. The social media network says the events that set the Twitterverse aflutter this year were the March 5 release of the trailer for the upcoming season, the announcement on Jan. 14 of the date for the Season 8 premiere, and the red carpet premiere in New York City on April 3.
