According to Tana River County Police Commander Fredrick Ochieng, Alfred Jillo succumbed to head injuries while receiving treatment at the Malindi Sub-county Hospital on Monday evening. Mr Ochieng said the officer was initially rushed to Garsen Health Centre for treatment after his wife reported a falling incident. "On arrival at the Garsen Health Centre, they were advised to rush him to Malindi Level Four Hospital for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries," said Mr Ochieng. The body of the officer is lying at the Malindi Hospital awaiting a post-mortem.
