Galway medtech wins Irish Times Innovation of the Year award


Galway-based medtech company Atlantic Therapeutics has won the Irish Times Innovation of the Year award 2019 for developing a non-invasive, long-lasting solution to bladder weakness and other disorders associated with pelvic floor muscle problems. The overall winner of this year’s Irish Times Innovation of the Year award is Galway-based Atlantic Therapeutics, which also won the Life Sciences and Healthcare category. A panel discussion at The Irish Times Innovation Awards with chairman of the awards judging panel Chris Horn, former winner Ivan Coulter from Sigmoid Pharma, Irish Times Innovation Editor Michael McAleer and David McWilliams. The Irish Times Innovation Awards 2019 are supported by The Irish Times in partnership with Science Foundation Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Skillnet Ireland, KPMG and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
