Gallup Polls Reveal Obamacare's Failures

One overarching reality is that people inevitably rate their own health care more favorably than that of the nation. What's interesting is the apparent uptick in 2018 in respondents' assessment of their own health care while retaining roughly the same less-than-stellar opinion of health care for the nation as a whole as has been reported since 2013. As you can see, Americans have not been satisfied with the cost of health care for a very long time. In light of this disturbing trend back toward net disapproval, it was amusing to hear Nancy Pelosi herself frame the November election results: "health care was on the ballot, and health care won." For the New York Times to uncritically accept that claim and then embellish it with the post-election headline "Democrats Won a Mandate on Health Care" seems doubly dubious.
