Thirty seven days after going on sale, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have racked up one million handset sales in South Korean. In comparison, the Galaxy S7 took 74 days to reach the million mark, and the Galaxy S6 took twenty-four hours more by reaching the same sales figure in 75 days. Although the Galaxy S8 family has not had as much success as in South Korea, overall handset sales are broadly similar year-on year. Samsung should be please regarding the first six weeks of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus sales. This research comes on top of the announcement of worldwide shipments of ten million units and five million handset sales.
