Between 15 and 16 October 2024, Pakistan hosted the 24th SCO Summit 2024 in its capital city of Islamabad. In the final joint declaration of the SCO summit in Islamabad the heads of delegations of SCO member countries “reaffirmed their commitment to peacefully resolving disputes through dialogue and emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation to build a prosperous, peaceful, safe, and ecologically sustainable planet”. Being mostly Asian nations with mountain ranges the SCO, if utilized, the SCO nations have colossal ways to increase their economic cooperation and market access, enhance GDP growth and know how. Role of SCO member nations for regional connectivityChina is the founder member of SCO with the largest population, rich in natural and technological resources with the second largest economy. The Chinese One belt and One Road imitative has been enforced by all members of SCO in its Islamabad summit 2024.
