more-inGaiety marked the procession of ‘Pushpaka Vimanam’ organised on Monday on the sixth day of the ongoing annual Navaratri Brahmotsavams at the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara. The palanquin was tastefully decorated with varied hues of aromatic flowers and colourfully illuminated befitting the grand occasion. Eminent florists from the neighbouring States, who were commissioned for the purpose, toiled for more than 36 hours in fashioning the floral palanquin. While Hanumantha Vahanam was organised in the morning, the Lord enthralled the devout on Gaja Vahanam in the night. Thousands of devotees who had assembled for the night procession of Gaja Vahanam remained spellbound even as he sang devotional songs in the praise of Lord Venkateswara.
