Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has once again visited the mountain to pray. But this time, the second in command is praying and thanking God for the rain witnessed across the country. In January, Gachagua trekked to Mt Kenya for prayers as senior government officials' retreat was ongoing in Nanyuki, Laikipia county. "I took time to thank God for his mercy and kindness to the people of Kenya and for giving us the freedom we are now enjoying." Gachagua disclosed that he faced Mt Kenya and prayed for President William Ruto.
