Gachagua to Ruto: Ignore outside noises and lead Kenyans

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged his boss President William Ruto to ignore 'outside noise' as he leads the country. Further, Gachagua assured Kenyans that 2024 will be a better year as economic initiatives rolled out by the government to improve their lives bear fruit. He noted that Ruto has stabilised the economy despite the teething challenges they faced when they took over. Kenyans have, as of July 1, paid new taxes introduced via the controversial Finance Act, 2023, that was signed into law by President William Ruto on June 26. "We are going to press for a taxation plan that provides for an across-the-board income tax rate reduction for all Kenyans who pay income taxes," he said.
